      November 19, 2025, 16:30 Society — The Nizhny Novgorod Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor organized an inspection of the Pustynsky section of the Nizhny Novgorod Volga Region National Park named after V.A. Lebedev. This was reported on the social media of the Volga Interregional Environmental Prosecutor's Office.

      During the on-site survey within the forest fund that is part of the specially protected natural area, violations of the law were recorded.

      Prosecutors found illegal dumping of garbage, unauthorized structures, and damage to a forest road.

      Following the inspection, the environmental prosecutor sent an official notice to the Minister of Forestry and Wildlife Protection of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The elimination of the identified violations is under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.

      Earlier it was reported that the boundaries of Nizhny Novgorod are planned to be changed to eliminate the landfill on Moskovskoye Highway.
