59 buses were delivered to carriers in the Nizhny Novgorod Region under the preferential leasing program implemented as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." The regional Ministry of Transport reported that the buses were delivered to the region this week and are currently undergoing the necessary registration procedures.
The first batch of 54 high-capacity "Vector NEXT" buses arrived in Nizhny Novgorod. This is an urban-type vehicle with a double rear door, adapted for transporting people with limited mobility. The interior provides 19 seats, and the total passenger capacity is 71. Routes have already been assigned for these buses after the paperwork is completed: popular city routes No. 18, 94, 45, 82, 91 and 78.
Additionally, three buses were purchased for Arzamas, and two more will be sent to operate in Bogorodsk.
The renewal of the bus fleet is being carried out in accordance with the regional program for the development of the public transport system. The Nizhny Novgorod Region's Ministry of Transport noted that by the end of 2025 another 25 similar buses are planned to be delivered to private carriers, and the fleet of JSC "Nizhegorodpassazhiravtotrans" will be replenished with 82 new vehicles, 43 of them large-class.
Recall that over the past two years 487 new buses have been purchased to operate on the routes of Nizhny Novgorod and the region's municipalities. In addition, 120 modern electric buses have been delivered to the regional center, and the tram fleet was supplemented with 102 new cars in 2023–2025.
The renewal of public transport rolling stock is being carried out as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," which, at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, is aimed at providing citizens with modern infrastructure. The national project includes 11 federal projects focused on the development of road construction, the modernization of housing and communal services, improving road safety and the development of public passenger transport.
Recall that in the autumn Nizhny Novgorod received an additional 1.5 billion rubles for tram renewal.
