The "Write a Letter to Mom" campaign has started in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      At the United Russia Public Support Headquarters, Russian senator and Head of the Headquarters Olga Shchetinina launched the traditional "Write a Letter to Mom" campaign.

      Anyone who wishes will be able to congratulate the dearest people in their lives, and during the holidays each mother will be able to receive a long-awaited letter from her child.

      "On the eve of the most tender and touching holiday — Mother's Day, which is traditionally celebrated on the last Sunday of November, every resident of Nizhny Novgorod has the opportunity to express the deepest love, gratitude and appreciation to the most important person in our lives — their mother. Together with Russian Post and the Women's Movement we launched the 'Write a Letter to Mom' campaign, the idea for which was proposed to us two years ago by Nizhny Novgorod resident Vladimir Alekseevich Znamensky. Come to the United Russia Public Support Headquarters, where a special mailbox for your letters and cards has been installed. Choose the most beautiful card from those we have prepared. Imagine the happiness mothers will feel receiving a message from you! Show how much their support and love mean to you," Olga Shchetinina said.

      Part of the cards were handed over to the Nizhny Novgorod hospital by the Speaker of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma, Evgeny Chintsov, so that every mother would receive a warm greeting from her dearest person.

      "Such letters, written by one's own hand, are the most precious gift, far more meaningful than a phone call. It is the most precious thing for a mother, who will keep this letter as a reminder of her son," he noted.

      In addition, he spoke with those who are currently undergoing rehabilitation.

      "I want to note their high fighting spirit and their positive feedback about the medical staff. The guys are provided with everything they need, their health is being restored, and in the near future they will be able to return to carrying out their tasks. On our part, we will provide them with all the necessary aid and support," Evgeny Chintsov said.

      Part of the holiday cards will also be handed over by party supporters to servicemen at one of the military units in the Nizhny Novgorod region, as well as to servicemen in the special military operation zone.
