Students from eight regional universities participated in the "Zarya" competitions.
In the Nizhny Novgorod Region, from November 14 to 16, military-sports competitions "Zarya" were held at the children's health camp "Salut" (Gorodetsky District). More than 80 students from eight universities in the region took part. Each team consisted of 10 participants and one leader. The organizers of the competition were the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Patriotic Education Center "Avangard."
"I am confident that the participants not only acquired new skills, but also strengthened their bonds with comrades and began to feel like one big team. Such events help us form a strong, responsible, and patriotic generation ready to serve their country," said Lev Skitnevsky, Deputy Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The competition program included eight stages, during which contestants had to pass tests in various military-sports disciplines: for example, first aid, operation of unmanned aerial vehicles, firearms training, and overcoming an obstacle course. The participants demonstrated a high level, showing not only physical endurance but also the ability to work as a team.
According to the results of the competition, 1st place was taken by the team of Knyaginin University, 2nd place — the team of the Privolzhsky branch of RGUP named after V.M. Lebedev, 3rd place — the team of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management — a branch of RANEPA.
"Military-sports competitions 'Zarya' are a logical continuation of our systematic work started with 'Zarnitsa 2.0'. For many kids, 'Zarya' becomes the next stage of development after graduating from school, where they can continue to improve the skills they acquired. Thanks to such competitions, young people of Nizhny Novgorod not only improve their physical fitness, but also learn teamwork, mutual assistance and overcoming difficulties. Our task is to raise a generation of true patriots ready to defend their Motherland," noted Alexander Ineshin, Acting Executive Director of the Patriotic Education Center "Avangard."
