Nizhny Novgorod energy workers are restoring electricity disrupted by bad weather to a small portion of the region’s consumers.

      On November 15, adverse weather conditions are being observed in the territory of Nizhny Novgorod Region: rain, wet snow, black ice, in some areas — freezing rain, and strengthening winds with gusts up to 20 m/s. The power engineers of the branch of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region — Nizhnovenergo — continue to work in a state of heightened readiness and immediately began restoration work. Twenty-four Nizhnovenergo crews are involved in restoring power supply: 108 specialists, 36 units of special equipment. An operational Headquarters is working at the branch, and information exchange is being carried out with territorial divisions of EMERCOM and executive authorities. Special control has been established over the operation of energy facilities. Specialists are making every effort to promptly supply consumers with electricity, including via backup schemes. Energy workers urge residents to be attentive and careful; if you discover downed power lines, under no circumstances approach them, but report them to the power company or the EMERCOM office.
