Dangerous toys were seized from stores in Nizhny Novgorod.

The Nizhny Novgorod regional office of Rospotrebnadzor carried out a large-scale inspection of stores selling children's goods and toys. Agency specialists visited 39 outlets and took 108 product samples to test them for safety.
The tests were carried out across a range of indicators: from sanitary-chemical and toxicological to microbiological and biological. As a result, it was found that 4% of children's goods and 17.3% of toys did not meet established standards.
Some samples proved especially dangerous — they contained substances that are not permitted in products for children. These included acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, hexane and ethyl acetate.
All products that failed the inspection were immediately removed from sale. Administrative fines were imposed on the companies that committed violations. They were also issued orders requiring them to remedy all identified problems.
Earlier it was reported that 65.5 kilograms of suspicious fish were found in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
