      “Youth policy in the country should have a vertical structure, at the top of which should be the Youth Parliament at the State Duma, and its composition should include members of the youth parliaments at the Legislative Assemblies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. It used to be that way, but then the system was dismantled by filling the 'youth' at the State Duma with sitting deputies up to 35 years old. Why would already established regional politicians need that? The question remains open. We talked about this at a meeting with Maria Voropaeva, first deputy head of the LDPR Central Apparatus, the second-ranking figure of this parliamentary party. Not long ago Maria Alexandrovna herself was a young politician, heading the Youth Parliament at the State Duma, which was then a true driver of youth policy in the country. I am very glad that today her generation has already entered political life and is ready to change a lot,” wrote Evgeny Lyulin, chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, on his social networks.

They must be given real instruments — such as the right of legislative initiative. It is pleasing that our views on this fully coincide. I hope that in the new convocation of the State Duma work with youth will receive a new impetus,” concluded Evgeny Lyulin.
