Economic development is impossible without qualified specialists, and today the state is actively working to create conditions for the effective employment of young people. As Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova reported, some 1.3 million university and college graduates will complete their studies each year through 2032.
The director of the NRU Presidential Academy, Ekaterina Lebedeva, noted that career guidance and support for young specialists is an important task facing the state. According to her, the Employment Service plays a significant role in this process.
She reminded that the federal portal "Work of Russia" unites more than 23 million users and 1.2 million employers. The platform hosts about 1.7 million vacancies, and in just nine months of 2025 the service specialists provided 764,000 career guidance services. Every third of these was aimed at young people under 30.
Employment centers offer a wide range of activities: from career consultations and psychological testing to lectures, practical classes and training sessions. Young specialists can undergo retraining programs, improve their professional knowledge or receive support when starting their own business.
Each participant is provided with an individual set of services tailored to their goals and needs. Assistance can be sought both in person and via the "Work of Russia" portal.
The NRU Presidential Academy also plays a role in supporting graduates.
"At the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management there is a Career and Managerial Competency Development Center. It accompanies students at all stages — from defining career goals to organizing internships and assisting with employment. Support for graduates continues after graduation: they receive consultations on adapting to a new workplace, and the center's specialists regularly analyze the labor market situation to help make informed career decisions," she said.
Lebedeva paid particular attention to cooperation with the Youth Career Center "KUPNO.START." According to her, the joint work has reached a new level and has become an effective tool for students' career support. More than 15 events will be implemented under the joint roadmap by the end of the year.
"This comprehensive approach helps students build successful career trajectories, and helps the institute prepare specialists who are in demand in government bodies and at leading enterprises in the region," added Ekaterina Lebedeva.
As the academy director emphasized, based on last year's results 87% of the institute's graduates found successful employment. She called this the result of systematic and comprehensive work to support young people.
