The subsistence minimum for Nizhny Novgorod residents will rise to 17,800 rubles in 2026.
11 November 2025 18:45 Economy The government of the Nizhny Novgorod region has approved new subsistence minimum levels for 2026. The corresponding decree was signed by the region’s governor, Gleb Nikitin.
From 1 January 2026 the subsistence minimum per person will be 17,803 rubles. This is 1,134 rubles more compared with the current level — 16,669 rubles.
For the working-age population the indicator will rise to 19,405 rubles (against the current 18,169 rubles). The increase will amount to 1,236 rubles. The subsistence minimum for pensioners will rise from 14,335 to 15,311 rubles, and for children — from 16,169 to 17,269 rubles.
The established values will be in effect throughout 2026 — from 1 January to 31 December.
