A two-story condemned house in Karavaikha is being seized for demolition.

      Authorities of Nizhny Novgorod are beginning the seizure of a dilapidated building on Batumskaya Street for subsequent demolition. This is stated in a decree of the city administration.

      Along with building No. 16, the land plot beneath it will also be seized. After an independent appraisal of the market value of the properties, owners will be offered monetary compensation. Draft agreements on the expropriation of the real estate will be prepared and sent to the owners after coordination with the relevant departments of the administration.

      It should be noted that the building on Batumskaya is among the properties subject to resettlement in the Karavaikha microdistrict. It is known that four multi-storey buildings will appear in the southwest part. The development of the 12.23-hectare plot bounded by Gagarin Avenue, Batumskaya Street, 40 Let Oktyabrya Street and Pyatigorskaya Street will be carried out by JSC "Specialized Developer 'IKS'". In addition, a KRT project is also planned to be implemented on the territory of the Karavaikha microdistrict.

      Earlier it was reported that the city authorities decided to seize two more dilapidated houses in the historic part — house No. 28/21 (building A) on Gogol Street and house No. 11 on Bolshiye Ovragi Street.
