      Some 32,000 people visited the exhibition "The Poet's Autumn: On Genius and Place" at the State Literary-Memorial and Natural Museum-Reserve of A. S. Pushkin "Boldino". It ran from June 6 to October 31, 2025, the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region reports.

      The exhibition "The Poet's Autumn: On Genius and Place" was a project created jointly with the All-Russian A. S. Pushkin Museum. It not only acquainted visitors with the phenomenon of the Boldino Autumn, the most productive period in Pushkin's creative life, but also explored the interaction between genius and the space that inspires it.

      "The exhibition 'The Poet's Autumn: On Genius and Place' attracted the attention of more than 32,000 visitors, which testifies to the great interest in Pushkin's work and the phenomenon of the Boldino Autumn. Visitors left more than 300 comments in our guestbook. Each noted both its deep content and its unusual architectural layout. Thanks to the exhibited items, including paintings and graphic works by well-known artists of the Soviet period, both numerous guests and local residents were able to see portraits of Pushkin, views of the Boldino estate and illustrations to the poet's works created in Boldino," said the director of the museum-reserve, Nina Zhirkova.

      Visitors to the exhibition saw about 150 exhibits, most of which came from Saint Petersburg. In addition, the project partners included the Nizhny Novgorod State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve and the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum.

      "The response the exhibition received from visitors once again proves the continued demand for Pushkin and his work. Sincere feedback and lively interest are the best reward for all of us. I am confident that the museum objects we presented will remain in the memory of everyone who visited the exhibition for a long time. I hope that in the foreseeable future we will have more joint projects with the Boldino museum-reserve," clarified the director of the All-Russian A. S. Pushkin Museum, Olga Korneva.

      Recall that the exposition was conditionally divided into three main parts: 'poet' — images of Pushkin himself; 'place' — views of the Boldino estate; 'creativity' — illustrations to the works created in Bolshoye Boldino in 1830, 1833 and 1834. The painting section of the exhibition featured portraits of A. S. Pushkin by such luminaries as Nikolai Ulyanov, Pyotr Konchalovsky and Vasily Shukhaev. In the graphic section, visitors could see works by Dmitry Kardovsky, Artur Fonvizin, Dmitry Mitrokhin, Georgy Savitsky, Orest Vereysky and other well-known artists.

      "The Boldino museum is an example of how, after a large-scale anniversary renovation, it is possible not only to maintain the established standard but also to constantly grow. I have no doubt that by the end of the year my colleagues and I will surprise you with the museum's attendance growth. For now, I would like to draw your attention to Boldino during the New Year holidays — colleagues are already preparing a very interesting program," noted the Minister of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Natalya Sukhanova.
