Evgeny Konopatsky has been appointed Vice-Rector for Science and Digital Development at NNGASU, the university’s press service reported.
The new vice-rector graduated from the Donbass State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture in 2004 with honors in "Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation", and then continued his studies in postgraduate school in the specialty "Applied Geometry, Engineering Graphics". In 2020 he defended a doctoral dissertation in "Engineering Geometry and Computer Graphics".
Prior to the appointment, Konopatsky headed the Institute of Information Technologies at NNGASU. He also leads the strategic project "Digital Construction", which is being implemented as part of the Strategic Academic Leadership program "Priority-2030" and is included in the updated national project "Youth and Children".
Under Evgeny Konopatsky’s supervision, six Candidates of Sciences and one Doctor of Sciences have successfully defended their dissertations.
It was previously reported that a laboratory specializing in urban planning and geospatial analytics is being established at NNGASU.
