The major renovation of one of the oldest sports facilities in Nizhny Novgorod — the "Dynamo" stadium — is already 71% complete. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the Ministry of Sport of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
According to the department, by the end of October 2025 the main work on the football pitch has been completed: the final surface has been laid and the markings applied.
In addition, the athletics tracks and jumping sectors are fully ready. The installation of foundations for the lighting masts has been completed, and work on laying engineering utilities has also been carried out.
Currently builders are erecting foundations for the checkpoints and a digital information scoreboard, which will become an important element of the renovated stadium's infrastructure.
As clarified by the regional Ministry of Sport, the deadlines for completing all repair work remain unchanged — the reconstruction is scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2026.
The possibility of holding mass events on the stadium premises will be determined by the stadium administration. At the same time priority will be given to athletes' training and to holding official sporting events, the department added.
Recall that access around the "Dynamo" stadium in Nizhny Novgorod has been closed until 30 April 2026 inclusive.
It was also reported that a temporary road is being built to the Nizhny Novgorod "Dynamo" stadium.
