The authorities of Nizhny Novgorod are expropriating house No. 22 with the plot on Kostina Street for municipal needs. The corresponding decree was published on the mayor’s website.
The basis for this was the recognition of the building as dilapidated and subject to demolition in December 2024.
The administration of the Nizhegorodsky District and the relevant departments have been instructed to conduct an appraisal, prepare and send to the owners of the premises draft agreements on the expropriation of property.
Recall, in May 2025 a fire occurred in the neighboring vacated wooden house No. 24.
Earlier it was reported that a hotel and business complex is planned to be built on the site of these two houses.
