EMERCOM officers conducted an inspection of one of the hotels in the Kanavinsky district of Nizhny Novgorod and uncovered serious fire safety violations.
According to the regional EMERCOM press service, the building's fire alarm, alert and evacuation management systems, as well as its smoke protection systems, were not functioning. In addition, the evacuation routes and exits were found to be non-compliant with established standards, which created a threat to the life and health of guests and staff in the event of an emergency.
Based on a court decision, the hotel's operations were suspended. Enforcement of the court order was carried out by court bailiffs together with EMERCOM officers.
The hotel’s operations have been suspended for 30 days. After that period, specialists will conduct a re-inspection. If all identified violations are remedied, the facility will be able to resume operations.
It should be added that, judging by the photos, this concerns the "Botanika Loft" hotel near the railway station.
Earlier it was reported that a Nizhny Novgorod shashlik restaurant had its operations suspended by a court due to unsanitary conditions.
We also reported that a car wash in Nizhny Novgorod had its operations suspended by a court decision — all due to noise and violations.
