The center of Nizhny Novgorod will be closed off due to the celebration of National Unity Day.
October 30, 2025, 14:59. Society. Traffic in the center of Nizhny Novgorod will be partially closed due to the celebration (0+) of Unity Day on November 3–4. Restrictions will affect several streets and will be in effect for two days, the city transport department reported.
Thus, from 00:01 on November 3 to 23:59 on November 4 traffic on the Ivanovsky Descent will be closed. And on November 4 from 00:01 to 18:00 it will be impossible to drive along the Zelensky Descent — from Minin and Pozharsky Square to Shirokaya Street, as well as from Oktyabrskaya Street to Shirokaya Street.
Shirokaya and Rozhdestvenskaya streets will also be closed — on the section from Nagorny Lane to Shirokaya Street. Traffic will be restricted at People's Unity Square, as well as on the approach to the Ivanovsky Descent.
In addition, stopping and parking will be prohibited for the entire day on November 4 on Sovetskaya Street (between the Kanavinsky Bridge and Lenin Square), as well as on Sovnarkomovskaya Street — from Kerchenskaya Street to Mira Boulevard.
Drivers are asked to remove their cars from these streets in advance. Otherwise vehicles may be towed.
Motorists are advised to be attentive, follow the signs, and plan detours in advance.
Reminder: on November 4 entry to the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin will be restricted.
