One settlement was abolished and five villages were renamed in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The corresponding decisions were made by deputies of the Legislative Assembly at the meeting on October 30.
The changes affected localities in the Sokolsky district, where several villages had identical names. In particular, of the three villages called Bogdanovo, one was given the status of a khutor, another of a selo. Similar changes affected the villages Mostovka, Sodomovo and Vydelka, which were also converted into sela. Previously, these localities were distinguished only by belonging to different village councils, which after the abolition of administrative entities caused confusion when processing documents.
In addition, the parliamentarians decided to abolish the settlement Polevoy in the Lukoyanovsky district, which has had no residents since 2008.
