Details have emerged of a serious road traffic accident on Vaneev Street in Nizhny Novgorod, in which a man and a child were injured. The crash occurred at about 10:50 on October 28, the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
It was preliminarily established that the driver of a Kia, a man born in 1999, while changing lanes failed to ensure the safety of the maneuver and collided with a Lada, driven by a man born in 1980. As a result of the impact the domestic passenger car struck a traffic light pole and then overturned.
As a result of the incident, the Lada driver and his passenger — a girl born in 2017 — sustained injuries. Both were hospitalized in city medical facilities.
At present, the traffic police are continuing to determine all the circumstances of the accident.
Recall that in Nizhny Novgorod police are searching for the driver who struck a girl on a pedestrian crossing.
