Domestic tourism is growing — several million Beeline customers have visited unusual places across the country.
October 30, 2025 15:37 Society: Russians' interest in domestic tourism is growing. The number of users on some routes increased by 20%, Beeline calculated. Here are unusual spots in Russia where millions of users used Beeline's network this summer.
Baikal, for example, attracted 1.5 million of the operator's customers this summer. The deepest lake in the world draws both lovers of solitude and those seeking active recreation. In Posolsky Sor Bay, for instance, people go windsurfing.
One of the centers of alpine skiing, Arkhyz (Karachay-Cherkessia), welcomed almost half a million Beeline users during the vacation season. Besides the snowy peaks, visitors admire the turquoise Sofiyskie and Dukkinskie Lakes.
Another notable destination is Mount Malaya Sinyukha in the Altai Republic. The slopes here glow with a soft blue light thanks to a large number of ions in the air. Nearby is Lake Manzherok, which offers an impressive view of the mountain, which attracted more than 400,000 Beeline customers from May through August this year.
Another route for a quiet getaway is the Baltic coast. To appreciate the beauty of the water, it's best to head to the Curonian Spit in Kaliningrad Oblast. This summer more than 340,000 tourists managed to do so. People come here for the white sand dunes and the whimsically curved pines in the Dancing Forest.
Some 236,000 customers headed to Karelia during the vacation season, 20% more compared to last year. In addition to Europe's fourth-largest waterfall, Kivach, customers explored the trail at the flooded Marble Canyon in Ruskeala Park.
Another 100,000 Beeline customers visited the Elbrus region (Kabardino-Balkaria), home to Russia's highest cable car in Terskol. It carries visitors to an altitude of 3,847 meters.
The Taganay Range in Chelyabinsk Oblast attracted more than 70,000 travelers. Among the forests lies a stone river about 6 km long — a giant accumulation of boulders under which the sound of mountain streams can be heard.

According to Beeline, eco-routes were most often of interest to customers aged 36 to 50 (53%). Young people aged 18 to 35 took second place in tourist traffic (27%). The older generation, those aged 50 and over, were only in third place (20%).
In remote corners of nature, tourists use navigation apps (41%), social networks and messengers (39%), and check the weather via dedicated services (19%). These capabilities allow customers to quickly find information about routes and weather, plan accommodation, and communicate with loved ones.

Beeline is expanding its 4G coverage even in hard-to-reach places such as mountain peaks, dense forests, or the shores of bodies of water. Thanks to the development of the fourth-generation network, travelers spend time in nature comfortably and safely while staying connected with family across Russia.
The news was prepared using anonymized Beeline customer data from May to August 2025 and the same period in 2024.
