The "Shop of Wonders" opened in a historic building in Gorodets.

      27 October 2025 18:56 Culture and Leisure In Gorodets, an unusual shop "Lavka Chudes" has opened, combining a fairytale atmosphere with elements of cultural heritage. The new creative space is located in a restored historic building at 11A Bolshoy Kirovsky Syezd. The opening was announced on the Telegram channel of ANO ASIRIS.

      The location was chosen deliberately — this street has long been famous for its market rows and shops. Thanks to the efforts of the ASIRIS team, the building was restored while preserving the architectural features characteristic of old Gorodets.

      The main attraction of the space is a photo zone recreating the legendary Platform 9¾ from the Harry Potter universe. It has already attracted the attention of both locals and tourists.

      The creators were inspired by the atmosphere of Charles Dickens's novel The Old Curiosity Shop — hence the establishment's name. The shop offers original souvenirs, handmade items, candles and soap, as well as antique household items and paintings discovered in an abandoned house in the Gorodets district.

      Earlier it was reported that the renovated Evenius House was opened in Nizhny Novgorod after a large-scale restoration.
