Nikitin established a new regional award — the medal "For Productivity and Efficiency."

      A regional award — the Medal "For Productivity and Efficiency" — has been established in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The corresponding decree was signed by Governor Gleb Nikitin. The document was published on the official legal information portal.

      The medal will be awarded to residents of the region who have achieved significant success in implementing modern management methods, optimizing work processes and improving the effectiveness of the activities of state and municipal bodies, including subordinate organizations.

      As stated in the decree, candidates for the award must have at least three years of employment at their main place of work and experience in successfully implementing at least three projects based on the principles of lean production.

      No more than 100 people can receive the medal each year. Self-nomination is not allowed — nominations for the award must be submitted by an employer, government authorities, or deputies.

      The design and symbolism of the award have also been approved. The medal is made of brass with a bronze tint in the form of a two-tier octagon. The obverse depicts gears — a symbol of lean technologies — and a deer on a shield. Laureates will be presented with a lapel badge and a certificate along with the award.

      The procedure for nominating and reviewing candidates is strictly regulated. Documents are submitted by August 1, the commission meets by September 15, and the final decision is made by the governor. In 2025, the deadline for submitting documents is November 1, and the commission's meeting must take place no later than December 1.

      Financing for the production of the medals, lapel badges, certificates and cases is provided from the regional budget funds allocated to the regional government's administrative office.

      Repeat awards are not permitted. The presentation of the medal will take place in a ceremonial setting.
