Hackers attacked the digital services of the Nizhny Novgorod Region's veterinary supervision.

      The information systems FGIS "VetIS" and FGIS "Saturn", involved in the activities of the veterinary committee of the Nizhny Novgorod region, were subjected to a massive cyberattack. This was reported on October 22 on the agency's official social networks.

      According to the statement, since 08:30 both resources have been experiencing serious disruptions due to a large-scale DDoS attack. As a result, the services are temporarily unavailable to users.

      "We are carrying out comprehensive measures to repel the attack. To minimize damage, all necessary response and information protection measures have been deployed," the statement says.

      It was also noted that some communication channels and network equipment are functioning unstably. Specialists continue work to restore and configure the infrastructure.

      Earlier it was reported that nearly half of the residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region could be exposed to threats from cybercriminals.
