A new "life situation" called "Protection from Online Scammers" has been launched on the public services portal. It is a comprehensive tool that brings together all available measures to counter online fraud.
Users have access to functions such as a self‑ban on applying for loans and issuing new SIM cards, credit history checks, and the ability to find out details about suspicious calls. All these options are aimed at reducing the risk of financial and information‑related fraud.
In addition, the service contains step‑by‑step instructions in case a person accidentally handed confidential data, such as passwords, to scammers. It also provides recommendations on how to recognize fraudulent schemes and avoid becoming a victim.
As Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Grigorenko noted, grouping state services by "life situations" allows citizens to resolve important issues faster and more conveniently. According to him, this approach reduces the time to obtain services by an average of 30%.
Since the launch of the new "life situation," more than two million Russians have used the service. The self‑ban on loans and credits is the most popular feature. Since September 1, this service can be arranged not only online but also in person at MFC offices.
Earlier it was reported that Nizhny Novgorod residents can sign up for a free legal consultation through Gosuslugi.
