Another Dobro.Center has opened in Nizhny Novgorod on Krasnozvezdnaya Street.

      In Nizhny Novgorod, in the Zenit neighborhood, a new Dobro.Center has begun operating at the Center for Training Parental and Teacher Mentoring. The ceremonial opening took place on October 19. This is already the twentieth such venue in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, created with the support of ANO "Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" and the regional government. The opening of the center aligns with the goals and objectives of the national project "Youth and Children."

      The event was attended by the First Deputy Chair of the Council of the Dobro.RF Association, Kirill Antonov, and the General Director of ANO "Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region," Maria Samodelkina. They congratulated the team of the new Dobro.Center on the start of its work and noted the importance of creating such public spaces for the development of local communities and the support of civic and volunteer initiatives.

      "The task of the Dobro.Centers is to unlock the potential of Russians' participation in volunteer and public activities, including by strengthening and uniting local communities. I would note that the new Dobro.Center will operate on the basis of an organization that works with children, supports their creativity and thinking, and develops mentoring. It is important to tell children from an early age and to show by example how vital the ideas of mutual assistance and good neighborliness are. This will help strengthen society," said Kirill Antonov.

      This is already the sixth Dobro.Center in Nizhny Novgorod. Now, at 25 Krasnozvezdnaya Street, there will be a real focal point for active residents of the Zenit neighborhood and other Nizhny Novgorod residents. On its basis, citizens will be able to propose their own initiatives, find support and like-minded people, and actively participate in the implementation of socially significant projects. For Nizhny Novgorod residents, creative workshops, a board games club, bookcrossing and recyclable material collection are already operating here. It is planned to develop social project design and patriotic initiatives.

      "Today, twenty Dobro.Centers operate in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Six of them have been opened in Nizhny Novgorod. There are similar centers in Gorodets, Kulebaki, Sarov, Dzerzhinsk, Balakhna, Bor and other towns in the region. And we plan to renovate and open another 10 centers next year. This is a tangible result of our systematic work to create infrastructure to support civic initiatives. We are not just opening new points, we are building a unified ecosystem of goodness where every active resident of the region has the opportunity to implement their project," emphasized Maria Samodelkina.

      Recall that from 2025, by order of President Vladimir Putin, the national project "Youth and Children" began to operate in Russia, which performs tasks previously envisaged in the national projects "Education" and "Science and Universities." The national project is aimed at creating opportunities for the development of talents and self-realization of young people, and at cultivating a responsible and highly moral person. At the heart of the national project are the construction and repair of schools, the professional development of teachers, the creation of new teaching methods and comfortable conditions for learning. Special attention is paid to supporting talented youth, including young specialists.

      The national project includes nine federal projects and programs: "Russia — the Land of Opportunity," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Teachers and Mentors," "Creation of a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for a Generation of Leaders," and "Professionalism." Support for volunteer activities is provided under the federal project "We Are Together," whose goal is to make volunteer work more organized and beneficial thanks to state support. In particular, it provides for the creation of volunteer support centers, the holding of training courses and competitions.

      Projects requiring volunteer participation are listed on the website: dobro.ru. In addition, those lacking experience can take special training courses at "Dobro.University." Every year the international #WEARETOGETHER award is also held to draw attention to the work of volunteers. The award can be received by authors of social projects created to help people and improve their lives.
