Residents of Nizhny Novgorod were told how to dispose of old appliances.

      Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region can get rid of outdated electronics and household appliances without harming the environment. This opportunity is provided under the federal initiative "Recycling School: Electronics," implemented by the Foundation for Rational Nature Management. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

      The program is open not only to ordinary residents but also to budgetary organizations. Outdated equipment is accepted free of charge, and disposal is carried out strictly according to environmental standards. Moreover, participants are issued all the necessary documents to officially write off the equipment.

      The foundation itself inspects the condition of the equipment, including medical devices, and draws up certificates confirming their malfunction or wear. Almost anything can be handed in: from old computers and printers to refrigerators, air conditioners, power tools, machine tools and scientific instruments. Only cartridges, UPS units and equipment labeled "radiation" are not accepted.

      To join the program, you need to register on the foundation's website in the "Electronics" section. After that a coordinator will contact you and draw up a free-of-charge contract.
