October 20, 2025, 10:54 Incidents The story of medical documents thrown out on the street in Nizhny Novgorod has reached the head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin.
Recall that the unusual dump was discovered in October on the bank of the Oka River near the Myzinsky Bridge. Unknown persons discarded a pile of documents containing patients’ personal data and test results, including for HIV and syphilis. Some of the forms bear the names of private clinics.
The regional Investigative Committee has opened a procedural inquiry. The head of the agency instructed his Nizhny Novgorod colleague, Ayrat Akhmetshin, to report on the interim results of the inquiry and the final decision taken.
The progress of the inquiry is being monitored by the Investigative Committee’s central office.
Earlier it was reported that a woman from Nizhny Novgorod complained to the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation about violations of her rights when obtaining medications.
Also recall that private clinics in Nizhny Novgorod threatened to raise prices because of a new tax.
