The former vocational school building in Arzamas is looking for a new owner.

      In the very heart of Arzamas, near Gaidar Park and Sobornaya Square, the building of the former vocational school has been put up for sale. This is not just an old structure but a genuine late-19th-century architectural monument and part of the historic ensemble "School of Apprentice Craftsmen." The building is recognized as a cultural heritage site of regional significance.

      As Gleb Nikitin, governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, wrote on his Telegram channel, the building could become a hotel, restaurant, educational or creative space.

      "The future owner will be able to breathe new life into it with the help of a program developed by DOM.RF together with the Ministry of Culture of Russia. Preferential financing at a rate of just 4% per annum can be obtained for the restoration of the building! The Nizhny Novgorod Region has become one of the pilot regions for the project's implementation. Such an opportunity is a real gift for our investors," the governor said.

      The governor also reminded that the building is on a tourist route, and every year Arzamas, as a spiritual and cultural center, attracts more and more visitors.

      The vocational school building was constructed in the eclectic style in the late 19th century. It housed classrooms, a library, a physics lab, workshops and residential quarters for teachers. Later a smithy, foundry and woodworking workshops were added. After the Revolution, a technical college was located there.

      Applications to participate in the auction are accepted until October 27, and the auction itself will be held on October 29.
