In Nizhny Novgorod, a 29-year-old woman was deprived of her savings while trying to buy vanity license plates for her car. The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region reported this.
A resident of Nizhny Novgorod found an advertisement for license plates for sale on the internet. She contacted the seller to discuss the terms of the deal. After receiving an advance payment, the person she was dealing with stopped responding.
Realizing that she had become a victim of fraudsters, the woman turned to the police. A criminal case has been opened regarding the incident. Investigators are establishing all the circumstances of what happened and are searching for the perpetrators.
