Nizhny Novgorod residents were told how to dispose of old appliances in an environmentally friendly way.
Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, as well as budgetary organizations including schools, hospitals and government bodies, can hand in old electronic and electrical equipment for recycling under the federal program “School of Recycling: Electronics” of the Fund for Rational Natural Resource Use.
According to the regional Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, recycling is carried out free of charge and in accordance with environmental protection legislation. Participants are provided with a full set of documents confirming the recycling.
The Fund conducts an assessment of the technical condition of equipment, including medical equipment, and issues the necessary write-off certificates. Accepted for recycling are computers, printers, fax machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, power tools, machine tools, scientific and medical equipment, as well as personal gadgets (excluding cartridges, uninterruptible power supplies and equipment labeled “radiation”).
To participate in the program, you must register on the Fund’s website in the “Electronics” section: https://eko-fond.ru/electronics/#register. After registration, the program curator will contact the participant to conclude a no-cost agreement. If an agreement has already been concluded in 2025, re-registration is not required — it is sufficient to submit an application to: [email protected].
The program annually compiles a ranking of the most active and environmentally oriented institutions and awards them valuable gifts.
