In Nizhny Novgorod, tram No. 8 will temporarily not operate on weekends. This was reported by the Region’s Center for the Development of Transport Systems.
The restrictions will affect two days — Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and 19. On the specified dates, service on route No. 8 will be suspended from 10:00 to 15:30.
The temporary suspension of tram service is due to site improvement works.
Recall that tram No. 8 may resume service to Gnilitsy as of October 20.
Earlier it was reported that about 25 km of new tram lines may appear in Nizhny Novgorod in the coming years.

Owners of private medical clinics in Nizhny Novgorod announced a possible increase in service prices. This is connected with the possible introduction of a new profit tax of 5%, reported Alexei Nikonov, editor-in-chief of "Stacionar-press", on his Telegram channel.
At present, private medical institutions benefit from a zero tax rate. According to Nikonov, many clinics operate with low profits while facing significant expenses for materials and staff wages. In such a situation, the additional tax burden could lead to costs being passed on to patients.
The most likely price increases will affect areas such as preventive medicine, dental and ophthalmic services. The State Duma expects that the new measure will replenish regional budgets by 20–30 billion rubles.
