Two trains collided in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      A freight train and a maintenance train collided at Sergach station in the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the press service of the Gorky Railway, the incident occurred at 17:39 on October 17.

      After the collision, several empty wagons of the freight train derailed.

      Train traffic has not been suspended; however, there are minor delays to commuter trains.

      There were no injuries. There is also no environmental damage.

      "An operational headquarters has been established to coordinate the response work," added representatives of the Gorky Railway.

      The causes of the incident are yet to be determined.
