      Residents of Bogorodsk complained to the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, about harmful production located near homes. This was reported by the Information Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

      A call was received on the single multi-channel telephone line from a local resident who reported violations of environmental protection legislation in Bogorodsk. A plastic processing workshop is located not far from residential houses. Due to the operation, toxic substances are being released into the atmosphere. In addition, constant noise from the enterprise causes inconvenience to local residents.

      The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region conducted a procedural check on this fact. Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin instructed the acting head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Alexander Dynkov, to open a criminal case and report on the progress of the investigation.
