Six teenagers in the Nizhny Novgorod region were sought again in 2025.

      From January to August 2025, six minors from the Nizhny Novgorod region were listed as missing persons again. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region told NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" about this.

      Over the eight months, law enforcement received 4,396 reports of missing persons, of which 655 concerned missing minors.

      According to operational data, 4,253 people were found based on hot leads. In the remaining cases, official search investigations were opened.

      A federal search was declared for 143 people, including 36 minors and 26 seniors over 60. By the end of August, 101 of them had been found; 42 remain wanted.

      The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that every missing person report is considered without exception. The average time spent searching depends on the circumstances of the disappearance — from running away to, for example, getting lost in the forest.
