In various regions of Russia, residents are increasingly reporting delays in the supply of heat to homes. Against the background of a growing number of complaints, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin demanded tougher measures be taken against those responsible for the start of the heating season. A video of Volodin was published on his channel in the MAX messenger.

During a plenary session of the parliament he addressed Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services Irek Faizullin, suggesting that responsibility for missed deadlines for connecting heat should be strengthened. According to the speaker, sub-zero temperatures have already set in in some federal subjects of the country, but heating has still not been turned on in all homes.

"We are entering the heating season. A huge number of complaints about heat-supplying organizations. We must do everything to increase the accountability of those responsible for the connections," Volodin said.

He emphasized that stricter fines should be applied to unscrupulous heat-supplying companies and concessionaires who manage this process.
