Schoolchildren from Nizhny Novgorod will participate in the All‑Russian Children's Environmental Forum.
The 3rd All-Russian Children's Environmental Forum (DEF) will be held in Chelyabinsk on October 14–15, organizers say.
The All-Russian Children's Environmental Forum is a platform that gives schoolchildren the opportunity to exchange experience in developing and implementing environmental projects, to present their projects for evaluation by experts, and to build an open dialogue between adults and children.
The best "People's Project" will be chosen there.
Young environmentalists will present their works in the field of environmental protection to an expert jury — more than 3,500 children in total. Among them are children who have been left without parental care or who find themselves in difficult life situations.
Participation is planned from teams from new regions: this year, in addition to the DPR and LPR, schoolchildren from Kherson Oblast advanced to the second stage.
There will also be representatives from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast at the forum. The children will present the "Green Mosaic" project in the "Best Greening Project" nomination. Their goal is to carry out greening activities in the Volodarsky District and in the territory of Nizhny Novgorod.
By the way, regions themselves can vote for the project so that the children score a large number of points and win a grant for their project.
