Motorists returning to Nizhny Novgorod after the weekend were caught in massive traffic jams on the approaches to the city. Corresponding data appeared on the Yandex.Maps portal.
The first reports of congestion on the roads appeared in the Telegram channel "Nizhny Novgorod WITHOUT CENSORSHIP" at around 16:30. At that time eyewitnesses reported that traffic had almost come to a standstill on the road from the Bogorodsk side.
As of 18:40, the situation in that direction had not improved. The traffic jam on the road stretched from the Ryazanka River to the turn to the rural settlement Mirny. For almost the entire stretch the road is shown in dark red on online maps.
The situation is even worse on the M-7 highway. There the jams stretched for almost 20 kilometers. The congestion formed on the section from the "Lesnaya Skazka" children's camp to the village of Abaturovo.
Earlier we reported that two children, one of whom is not even a year old, and a woman were injured in an accident on a highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
