      Nizhny Novgorod-region fishermen are in the midst of the season of "hunting" for predatory fish. The Minister of Social Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Igor Sedykh, and the head of the city of Balakhna, Andrey Dranishnikov, did not stay aside and shared their fishing successes and impressions on social media, which they achieved this weekend.

      Igor Sedykh, while fishing on the Volga, caught a sizable zander and a pike. According to the minister, fishing on the great river helped him feel a deep connection to his native land.

      "I wish all Nizhny Novgorod residents a 'great' weekend while autumn is in full swing! Capture these moments — they're worth it!" the minister wrote.

      Andrey Dranishnikov shared that he was inspired by the successes of Balakhna fishermen he saw on social networks and also decided to spend time outdoors.

      He said he caught a catfish and a zander, but, having assessed their size, released them back into the water with a clear conscience, deciding they still need to grow.
