      Nizhny Novgorod specialists in medicine and robotics are developing an innovative device — a robotic assistant arm. The project is being carried out in cooperation between the AIDS Center and the R. E. Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University's Center for Robotics Development, chief physician of the AIDS center Solomon Apoyan said on his social media.

      The robotic assistant arm will perform several key functions — for example, drawing blood and barcoding test tubes containing biomaterial, which will significantly simplify and speed up the work of medical staff, reducing the risk of errors and increasing process efficiency.

      The uniqueness of the project lies in the absence of equivalents to a "robot-nurse" on the global market. Solomon Apoyan emphasized that the introduction of such a device could lead to revolutionary changes in medical practice, freeing doctors and nurses from routine tasks.

      The Nizhny Novgorod Center for Robotics Development is launching the full cycle: from idea to finished product.

      Apoyan also noted that developments in this area have already begun in China, and expressed confidence that their team will be able to succeed and take a leading position in this technological race.
