October 9, 2025, 10:58 — Incidents. The Moscow City Court dismissed the defense’s appeal for the former general director of the Krasny Yakor ("Red Anchor") plant, Dmitry Barykin, upholding the earlier decision on his arrest in absentia.

Earlier this spring, the former speaker of the Nizhny Novgorod Duma became a defendant in a criminal case of particularly large-scale fraud committed on the territory of the Moscow Region.
According to investigators, the former head of the Nizhny Novgorod plant left Russia’s borders and was subsequently declared internationally wanted. In April, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow authorized his arrest in absentia. Barykin is suspected of large-scale fraud.
Earlier, representatives of the Krasny Yakor ("Red Anchor") plant stated that Barykin’s criminal prosecution was not related to the enterprise’s activities.
