      A fatal crash occurred in the Pilninsky District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region on the morning of October 9. As reported by the regional Traffic Police, the 22-year-old driver of a Lada Priora was traveling from Kazan toward Moscow and fell asleep at the wheel. As a result, his car first clipped a BMW, then crashed into a guardrail and overturned. The driver of the passenger car died before medics arrived. An investigation into the incident is underway; the circumstances of the tragedy are being clarified.
