The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region has completed the investigation of a criminal case against the former deputy general director for finance and economic development of the capital repair fund in Nizhny Novgorod. The woman is accused of fraud committed using her official position on a large scale (Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to investigators, in December 2023 the accused issued an order hiring her daughter, appointing her as a senior economist in the accounting department. The relative, however, did not actually perform any work duties.
To create the appearance of her employment, the suspect instructed subordinates to enter false information into the timesheets. Based on these records, a salary was paid to the daughter, which the accused later appropriated for herself.
The total amount of damage exceeded 597,000 rubles.
The violations were revealed by investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia in cooperation with the prosecutor's office and officers of the regional FSB directorate.
The criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
Earlier it was reported that the former director of the company "Magistral" in Nizhny Novgorod will stand trial for tax fraud.
