Mikhail Murashko and Gleb Nikitin inspected Nizhny Novgorod's "Health Quarter."

      08 October 2025 10:40 Society — The Russian Minister of Health, Mikhail Murashko, visited Nizhny Novgorod on a working trip, during which he inspected the progress of the regional project "Health Quarter". This was reported by the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, on his Telegram channel.

      The head of the Russian Ministry of Health visited several key medical institutions, including the regional children's clinical hospital and the B.A. Korolev Research Institute of Specialized Medical Care.

      The chief physician of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, Svetlana Belozerova, showed the guests the renovated building of the consultative and diagnostic center. Major repairs have been completed here, and the polyclinic now receives over 600 young patients a day from across the region.

      The renovated space features modern design, bright corridors, comfortable rooms and the latest equipment. The delegation also inspected the dental office, the department for children with central nervous system disorders, the day hospital and the medical-genetic research laboratory.

      At the Korolev Research Institute, the minister and the governor familiarized themselves with the work of the intensive care unit and the operating rooms.

      "'Health Quarter' is one of the three key projects in the region's healthcare sector. I thank Mikhail Murashko for supporting our initiatives," Gleb Nikitin noted.

      Recall that the "Health Quarter" project involves the consolidation of the territories of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Children's Clinical Hospital and the Research Institute — the B.A. Korolev Specialized Cardiac Surgery Clinical Hospital.

      It was reported that the cost of the "Health City" in Nizhny Novgorod was estimated at 35.2 billion rubles, and the "Family Quarter" in Nizhny Novgorod will cost 6 billion rubles.
