Nizhny Novgorod's Ministry of Urban Development approved the construction of a research center near the metro bridge.

      In Nizhny Novgorod, the territory planning project for placing a scientific center near the metro bridge has been approved. The new complex will appear within the boundaries of Krasnoselskaya, Barminskaya, Maxim Gorky and Malaya Yamskaya streets.

      According to the regional Ministry of Urban Development's website, the project covers a 6.3-hectare plot in the Nizhegorodsky district. It was developed by the Institute for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Agglomeration under a contract for the development of built-up territory. The customer is the Corporation for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The project will be implemented in three stages. The first will involve preparatory works: utility networks will be relocated, existing buildings and structures, including a transformer substation, will be demolished, engineering and geological surveys will be carried out and the site secured, and the necessary utilities will be connected.

      Then the design and construction of the scientific center itself will begin. The building will consist of two blocks, 12 and 13 stories tall. An underground parking garage for 274 cars will be located beneath it. A new transformer substation will also be built as part of this stage. These works are planned to be completed by 2030.

      The second phase provides for the construction of another underground parking garage with 128 parking spaces. This facility is planned to be commissioned by 2035.

      In the third stage, an additional administrative building with an underground parking garage will be added to the site. Its construction will be completed no later than 2040.

      The total area of the street and road network provided for in the project will be 1,885 square meters.

      The documentation indicates that all structures falling within the boundaries of the future development must be demolished by 2035.

      It was reported that the construction project for the scientific center near the metro bridge in Nizhny Novgorod had gone through public hearings.
