Authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod region have called information about an alleged chemical release following an attack by Ukrainian UAVs on an industrial enterprise in Dzerzhinsk fake.
According to the regional government's press service, there was no release and no damage was caused to industrial facilities.
Citizens are urged to trust only official sources of information and not to give in to panic.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, an attack by 20 enemy drones was repelled during the night. As clarified by the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, the UAVs were neutralized in the Dzerzhinsk industrial zone. One person was injured as a result.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) reminded the public of the procedures to follow in the event of an enemy drone attack.
