      In Nizhny Novgorod, an ambulance crashed into a pole while trying to avoid a collision with another vehicle. The incident occurred on October 6 at around 12:35 on Lvovskaya Street, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region reported.

      According to preliminary information, the 48-year-old ambulance driver was driving with flashing lights and the siren on. To avoid a collision with another car, he swerved sharply and struck a woman who was crossing the roadway outside a crosswalk. After that, the ambulance crashed into a light pole.

      As a result of the incident, a 69-year-old female pedestrian was injured. She was taken away in an ambulance.

      Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
