      Since the start of the season in Nizhny Novgorod, car-sharing companies have been fined a total of more than 17 million rubles. In addition, more than 1,500 electric scooters have been seized. This was reported by Kommersant, citing the Department of Administrative, Technical and Municipal Control of the city administration.

      In Nizhny Novgorod, since the start of the season municipal authorities have imposed fines on companies that rent electric scooters totaling 17.36 million rubles. A total of 1,030 violation reports were drawn up for breaches of the rules for operating electric scooters. Also, at the moment 1,562 scooters have been seized.

      Since 2025 the city has officially designated specially allocated places for parking electric scooters. If an electric scooter is found in an unauthorized location, operators must remove it within three hours after the violation is recorded. If this is not done, the scooter is taken to a special impound lot. In addition, the Department of Administrative and Technical Control has the right to fine owners for scooters left on lawns.
