The former director of the Nizhny Novgorod cadet school was given a three-year suspended sentence.

      The former director of the Nizhny Novgorod Cadet School named after I.V. Gurov, Olga Kudasova, was found guilty of exceeding her authority (Art. 286, Part 3, point “e” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the press service of the Leninsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod, Kudasova was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment suspended; in addition, for two years she will be barred from holding managerial positions in state organizations.

      Recall that Kudasova was accused of, in the period from June 2024 to March 2025, on the basis of unfounded petitions, repeatedly and unjustifiably entering into orders on staff bonuses information about the accrual of incentive payments to school employees, which she then took for herself.

      Kudasova admitted guilt and paid 360,000 rubles in damages to six victims. Olga Kudasova does not intend to appeal the sentence.

      Earlier we reported that law enforcement officers raided Kudasova on March 6. They conducted searches at the school, seized some documentation and computer equipment. Conversations were held with school staff. According to IA “Nizhny Seichas,” citing sources at the school, since Kudasova assumed the post of head of the school, about 35 employees — teachers, additional education teachers, and administrative staff — have left the institution. In addition, according to teachers, they repeatedly received complaints from parents that portions in the school cafeteria had been significantly reduced.
