The former head of the Nizhny Novgorod Cadet School named after I.V. Gurov, Olga Kudasova, was found guilty of exceeding her official powers, Kommersant Privolzhye reports.

The Leninsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod sentenced her to three years of suspended imprisonment. She will also be barred from holding leadership positions in state institutions for two years.

Recall that, since 2023, Kudasova had been awarding bonuses to subordinates and partially appropriating them for herself. In March 2025, searches were conducted at the educational institution, after which the investigation began. After the probe started, Kudasova resigned from her post voluntarily, without waiting for an official suspension.

The woman admitted her guilt and reimbursed 360,000 rubles to six affected employees. She does not plan to appeal the court's decision.

Earlier it was reported that the former head of a Nizhny Novgorod correctional colony was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for bribery and fraud.
