Torpedo-Gorky came back from a 0-3 deficit and beat SKA-VMF in a shootout.

      October 2, 2025 17:43 Sport HC "Torpedo-Gorky" claimed a home victory over SKA-VMF despite trailing by three goals during the game. The match ended 4–3 in a shootout.

      The start of the match was extremely unlucky for Dmitry Kosmachyov's side. By the fifth minute they had conceded twice. After the second goal the coaching staff replaced the goaltender: Dmitry Dagestansky came in for starting goalie Lorens Zinaddin. However the visitors still managed to extend the score to 0–3.

      Nineteen seconds after the third conceded goal Ruslan Gazizov pulled one back. For the remainder of the period Torpedo-Gorky had the initiative but couldn't score again.

      In the second period the hosts continued the pressure. On the 27th minute Yegor Nikitin fired at the net; the puck hit the post, bounced off the SKA-VMF goaltender's back and slid into the net — 2–3. After that the Nizhny Novgorod side were down to a 5-on-3 penalty kill due to two consecutive penalties, but they held firm.

      At the start of the third period the score became even. Kirill Svishtyov delivered an accurate pass to the slot, and Viktor Fyodorov from close range sent the puck into the net. The scoreboard did not change for the remainder of regulation time.

      In overtime SKA-VMF had the man advantage but failed to convert it. Everything was decided in a shootout thanks to a successful attempt by Anton Kosolapov.

      Makar Opolinsky also made his VHL debut in this game. The farm club will play its next game on October 6 in Norilsk.

      On the same day the main team recorded their third win of the season over SKA, coming back from 0–2.
