A woman who was on the federal wanted list was detained in Pavlov.

      02 October 2025 16:43 Incidents — In the city of Pavlovo in the Nizhny Novgorod region, police detained a 29-year-old woman who was on the federal wanted list. She was found near one of the houses on 1st Severnaya Street, the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs press service reported.

      Earlier the woman had been given a suspended sentence for selling property obtained by criminal means. However, she ignored the court's requirements, including failing to stay under law enforcement supervision and violating public order.

      Because of this she was declared wanted and it was decided to replace the suspended sentence with actual imprisonment.

      After the detention the woman was placed in a temporary detention facility. The agency that initiated the search was informed of the incident.

      Police are now checking information about her possible involvement in another crime that may have been committed in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Earlier it was reported that former first deputy mayor of Nizhny Novgorod Ilya Shtokman is accused of receiving a bribe of 55 million rubles. He was detained in Sochi.
